The Choir of the Church of the Epiphany will soon be leaving the City of Greater Sudbury and journeying to England where they will sing the daily services in Exeter and Gloucester Cathedrals from August 29 to September 5. If you can’t fly across the Atlantic Ocean to hear them, then you have an opportunity to do that on the eve of their departure – Wednesday, August 24 at 7 pm when the Epiphany Choir, under the direction of David Buley will present a concert of some of the music they will be singing whilst away. They will be accompanied by guest organist, Elizabeth Harwood, who will join them in their tour, and they will sing music by Herbert Howells, Healey Willan, Christine Donkin, William Byrd, and a wide variety of other composers. Although this concert is free, donations will be gratefully accepted on behalf of the Horn of Africa famine relief.
Wednesday, August 24 at 7 pm at the Church of the Epiphany, 85 Larch Street, Sudbury.
