The beginning of Advent is a time of reflection as we prepare our hearts for the birth of Christ each year. This year an Advent Retreat is being offered at Villa Loyola. It will be a week-end retreat entitled “WORD BECOMING FLESH – The movements from womb, through manger, into the world” and will run from Friday 29 November at 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 1 December 1 at 1:00 p.m. The retreat director will be Fr. Philip Chircop, S.J. The cost of the retreat is $215.00, all inclusive (a non-refundable $30 deposit is required with registration)
Fr. Philip Chircop is a Jesuit priest born on the Mediterranean Island of Malta. He has advanced degrees in Pastoral Theology, Communications and Spirituality. He has worked in high school, university and parish settings in various capacities. More recently he has been mainly involved in retreat work which takes him to the four corners of the world. He is an artist at heart and loves all things beautiful. Fr. Philip considers himself a seeker, always looking for fresh and creative ways to proclaim the Good News hopefully helping “fellow pilgrims on the way” to embrace real and radical changes that lead to transformation in Christ Jesus.
