God-willing, Paul Baskcomb will be ordained to the sacred order of Deacons on Saturday June 8th, 2024 at 2pm. The service will be at Christ Church, Lively, with a reception to follow. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Andrews will be the preacher and the Rev. Dr. Peter Armstrong will lead his pre-ordination retreat. Clergy are invited to robe and process. The liturgical colour will be red.
Paul will graduate with his MTS at Wycliffe College on May 13th. He is a life-long resident of Northern Ontario and has enjoyed a fruitful career in urban planning for the Greater City of Sudbury. Paul has served as the Chair of the Board of Governors for Thorneloe University and in 2023 received an Honourary Doctorate of Sacred Letters at Thorneloe’s Fall Convocation. He attends the Church of the Ascension and sits on their parish advisory board.
